What is CBD?
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis and hemp, it is non-psychoactive which means that it will not get you high. CBD is one of more than a hundred "phytocannabinoids," which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile. For CBD to be legal it must contain 0.30% or less THC. There are some brands that have removed 99.95% of THC from their products. Both of these substances interact with the cannabinoid receptors found in the human body and brain, but they differed dramatically in their effects.
What is THC?
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the main psychoactive component of the cannabis plant. In other words, THC is the primary agent responsible for creating the 'high' associated with recreational cannabis use.
Summary
Both of these substances interact with the cannabinoid receptors found in the human body and brain, but they differed dramatically in their effects.
